Hey so here are all those videos from when i disappeared in November. My current disappearance is due to a brief break ("summer vacation") from my hard life back in providence (just kidding). a vacation from my vacation. Anyways, Animation Breakdown was a super awesome event -- i'd always wondered where the animation-love was in LA, a city exploding with animation talent, and Animation Breakdown has filled that large void in the western-half of my heart.

As i mentioned, long trip home in LA (or windy altadena, as it is). I have eaten lots but there still remains lots to be eatens. also, no good shows for the entire month?? can anyone perhaps enlighten me about something? still need to get my ticket back but with the new year comes a brief new york expedition, then back to providence with an empty wallet to get my thinking cap on. TO THE FUTURE!

Also, gonna get a good (HD! Technology!) copy of Playing For Keeeps up here soon as well, so keep your eyes 2 the skies (?)

Woah! Kind of got sucked into a vortex there. What just happened? Been all over, meeting people seeing things, not as much making things as I'd hope though. Atlanta, Charleston, Ottawa, Boston, South Dakota... hoy! Where to next? Well, California is next. Again! Which means in my whole time in Providence I haven't updated -- but to be fair, I havent been around much. And when I am, I'm doing funny jobs... Anyways, I have a pile of things "saved up" that I gotta get on here, in the meantime, sneaky peaky at the current project (not for me). More on that to come! yeah! stay dry dudes

Finally got around to collecting all the unused and extended bits and gems from Playing For Keeeps to put together into a 30 minute tape. Coincidentally, I made 30 of them. Right now they only exist in cassette form but I'll have a digital release out soon enough so all y'all can enjoy or whatever it is you're supposed do with music. Find them here, or find me in real life and I'll try to pass one your way.

As for other notes, looking for a scanner so I can start posting things again. Next screening for PFK will be at Dragoncon, and I'll be there, so heads up to all you atlanta/fantasy dwellers. Getting pretty excited for that, minus terrifying hotel prices. Anyone have a couch I can sleep on? Should be lots of good stuff, haven't been to Atlanta since my glorious high school robotics days. We lived like kings..

Hey, somewhere in that large block of hiatus time, I graduated. What a crAzY and fast four years it's been, mirite?? Doesn't look like too much has changed though. Other than that I was using nicer film stock when I was a freshman. In the meantime, had a job happen already, surfed some couches, now it's time for newer and better things. Personal work! Also, I'll have some real content up soon too, especially now that I'm just hanging out and my biggest concern is whether I feel like drawing or riding a bike. Anyone in PVD, give a holla', let's cook some food go swimming maybe crash bandicoot?

FAV Senior Show 2011

It's time! My degree project will be screening this week on Wednesday and Friday at the FAV Senior Show. If you're in the area you should come see it! If you aren't in the area you should still come, we have lots of beds + couches to sleep on! The show has two parts, each which is screened twice (so Wed/Fri are the same show and Thurs/Sat are the same show). I definitely recommend seeing both days, it's the only time you'll be able to see what everyone in FAV has been working on all year, and there's some really exciting work. Show is $3 with RISD ID, but if anyone needs passes they're giving us ten to hand out (do I even have ten friends?), so gimme a hollar. I could go on raving about how great this show is going to be, but you should just come n do it, have some fun. Finally, we'll be wrapping it all up with FAV end of school / end of the world party on saturday, so do that too. WOahh! See u all ther ~

Heyo folks and buddies. Fall semester has kicked off, and i should have fun things to be sharing, including remnants from the summer and hopefully future affairs. But that will be later~ as for now, we received a fancy stack of 14 secret envelopes, and for the next two weeks (or around one and a half now) we have to open an envelope a day and create a short piece about the contained prompt. we have until 6am the next day to upload them to a class blog (lol blogs), which means i should have new content daily for a little while, the opposite of my current blogging habits.

We're coming on day six now, and I've been meaning to put them up as a finish them, but my interest in doing that declines as the amount of sleep i get disappears. I will try to be better, but for now, here are days 2-5. Day 1 is mia because we did it with groups in class. hOpe skools going good for everyone else budz, i am having fun being a bum and working and eating luvely foods. Hey, look at how many words are in this post, crazy huh

A mixtape made earlier this summer back when my car was still in cassette-only mode. Definitely forgot to upload it, but there are still a few weeks of summer enjoyment left to soak it up. Side A and Side B are below (right click/save-as to download), but when i made the change from tape to CD i found out that my cars stereo does't save track positions, so there's also a broken down version in the .zip so you can skip around trax and skip the shitty parts, which is what i always want to do with long mixtapes anyways. I havent upped music in a long time, ill try to be better about that. Make urself a nice mixed drink and enjoy some mixed tunes to lay around in the shade to while you do absolutely nothing, itll be just like youre living in padadena. Also good driving long distances by moonlight.

JUNIOR SHOW: GO!

The three main animations I've worked on this year are going to be shown this Wednesday and Thursday in the RISD Auditorium for the FAV Junior Show. Come see them! If you can only make one day come Wednesday, the two animations I put the most into (and the two that almost no one have seen) are playing then, and they go on before the intermission, which means some time from 7:00-8:30. The piece that's showing Thursday is Pop Rocks, which is available online so its not too big of a deal, but it'll be going on just after the intermission, from 8:30-10:00.

It's free and theres a lot of other goood work being shown so I highly recommend staying -- come say farewell to me and other junior cave-dwellers for the summer! Screenings are from 7:00 - 10:00 Wednesday and Thursday in the auditorium, grab an (iced?) coffee and end the semester in a nice, relaxing, dark auditorium screening. Good things are going to be happening, hope to see you there
